MC Cadenza Black
Cadenza (from Italian: meaning "cadence") refers to a section in a concerto where the orchestra stops playing, allowing the soloist to perform alone in free time, without a strict, regular rhythm.
A cadenza can be either written out or improvised. It is usually the most elaborate and virtuosic passage the soloist plays throughout the entire piece. At the end of the cadenza, the orchestra re-enters and typically brings the movement to a close.
Cadenza Black represents the best of everything—faithful to the groove, offering resolution and precise insight into every recording.
A Benchmark Performance
Accuracy Level
The Cadenza Black model features a Nude Shibata stylus mounted on a boron cantilever. The effective mass of the stylus/cantilever system is extremely low thanks to the use of an ultra-thin boron rod. This material is exceptionally stiff and even lighter than aluminum.
It also incorporates the WRD (Wide Range Damping) system, as used in the MC Windfeld, MC A90, MC Anna, Xpression, and MC A95 cartridges, allowing separate control of high and low frequency damping. The coil wire is the renowned Ortofon Aucurum wire—gold-plated 6NX copper. The Cadenza Black excels in areas such as detail, consistency, and sound staging.
